Tennessee managed a tie in the 23rd Tennessee–Indiana dual to open the season and, given that they were the visiting team, Beth Alford-Sullivan's Vols get the nod for #1 in the initial men's indoor dual meet rankings.

#3 Ohio State hasn't run an indoor dual since defeating Michigan in 2012, but will face off against #14 Arkansas, #22 Michigan, and unranked Michigan State this Saturday at the Wolverines’ brand-new facility. In fact, all of the top 5 and 14 of the top 25 will be competing in dual/tri/quad meet action this weekend.

The complete men’s rankings:

Rank Team Record
1 Tennessee (0-0-1)
2 Indiana (0-0-1)

4 Kansas (2-0)
5 Texas A&M (0-0)
6 Minnesota (1-0)
7 BYU (0-0)
8 Navy (1-0)
9 Wichita State (1-1)

To be ranked, a team must compete in one or more dual meets (defined as a scored meet between four or fewer teams) during the indoor season. Teams are ranked on wins and losses, marks, and strength and depth of dual meet schedule, and are rewarded for taking dual meet competition seriously. Texas A&M (and other 0-0 schools) have earned initial rankings based on their marks.
