NCAA FORMCHART—Women

Chart #4 (click to see men’s chart)

You Can’t Make This Stuff Up

To say that the NCAA women’s team-title picture is fuzzy after Super Conference Weekend would be an understatement of the first order.

When last we met, indoor champ Arkansas was projected to score 56 points and to beat Oregon and Texas by 4. Florida was down in the No. 5 spot, 10 points behind the Razorbacks, also trailing Texas A&M.

Guess what? The first four teams all lost point, while the Gators added 4, creating an incredible logjam at the top. As it now stands, our crystal ball finds Florida and Texas tied for the lead, with only a single point back to host Oregon.

And Arkansas, Texas A&M—notorious for outscoring formcharts when it comes to crunch time—and USC aren’t all that far off the pace.

Not surprisingly, the climactic 4x4 should provide an über-climax, what with Texas, Florida, Arkansas and A&M being the four top-rated teams, in that order (with Oregon predicted to be sitting on the sidelines without an entry).

The 10-deep predictions for each event, heading into the dead week before the Regionals:
