Track & Field News tours has operated tours to every Summer Games since 1952. We have 58 years of experience, accommodating more than 10,000 fans on 15 Summer Games tours altogether, plus three to the Winter Games.

London in 2012 is our next big venture, and we'll have a sizable tour group once more. We have commitments from three hotels, all city center, 3- and 4-star lodging in London proper giving all tour members excellent access to the famed London Underground, one of the world's great subway networks. (NOTE: 3-star hotel is currently sold out).

Games dates are July 27 to August 12. Tour members stay for either 12 nights (track & field period) or 18 nights (entire Games). The 12-night dates are: Arrive August 1, depart August 13. The 18-night dates are: Arrive July 26, Depart August 13.

The tour package is similar to our previous Games trips. The basic tour price for 12-nts. is $8350/person, double occupancy, 3-star hotel (air not included), $9695 4-star hotel. London is one of the world's most expensive cities, and the hotel rates and ticket prices are significantly higher than ever.

Always a highlight of these trips is the gala tour luncheon, with invited athletes and coaches. In Beijing 2008, for instance, our guests were DiBaba, Clement, Oliver, Taylor, Symmonds, Fountain, Dix, Harrison Dillard, Dwight Stones, and many more. Over the years more than 60 gold medalists and 60 world record holders have attended TAFNOT parties.

OPTIONAL TOURING

In addition to the basic Games package, we are offering two optional extension tours::

• July 23-August 1 --- Paris and Normandy ($2175/person double occ. $2775 single)

9 nights, before the Games. 3 nts. Paris,  then Rouen, Bayeux, St. Malo, Mt. St. Michel, Chartres, Eurostar (Chunnel), etc.

• August 13-21 --- Ireland, The Emerald Isle ($2175/person double occ. $2675 single)

  8 nights, after the Games. 3 nts. Dublin, Plus Waterford, Killarney, Limerick, etc.
  

Tours include daily breakfast, at least one group dinner.

DEPOSIT

The current deposit is $7,000 per person for 12 nights; $8,000 per person for 18 nights. Final payment by 12/31/11. Bulletins update you on arrangements and other news. At the present time, the cancellation fee is $150/person plus any funds paid on your behalf (for hotels, tickets, etc.) that cannot be retrieved.
