Women's High Jump Results

Final

Acuff wins jumpoff in clearance of second height at 6-31/4 (1.91). Waller had the chance to respond and clipped the bar with her heels. Damon, Aldrich, and Acuff earned the three Olympic spots.

Round 4

At the fourth height 6-4 (1.93) four jumpers remained: Acuff, Damon, Waller, and Aldrich. The first three were all tied for first. Damon and Aldirch cleared on their second attempt. Both Acuff and Waller failed to clear and will jumpoff for the third team spot at the conclusion of the regular competion.

Rounds 1 & 2

The opening height was 5-103/4 (1.80). The first round was mostly uneventful with only Adriane Sims and Venessa Jones not clearing.

At the second height 6-3/4 (1.85) claimed more casualties. Notably Gwen Wentland was put out of the competion. A four way tie exists between Amy Acuff, Karol Damon, Tisha Waller, and Erin Aldrich.

Women's High Jump Qualifying
The meet's first event proved to be rather uneventful, as all who cleared the opening height of 5-103/4 (1.80) qualified for the final. The only drama occurred when Erin Aldrich, who had missed her first two attempts at the opening height, hit the bar with her heel on her third attempt, the bar bouncing up, but staying on.
