Tiombé Hurd won the first USATF outdoor title of her career, leaping a Hayward Field record 46-3/4 in round 5.

Earlier in the same frame, Pima Community College frosh Perez leaped 45-10 1/2, just three-quarters of an inch below the JC Record she set at the JUCO Championships last month.

AR holder Sheila Hudson reached her best of 44-10 3/4 in frame 4 to hold the lead until Hurd took it back later in the round.
