Stacy won at 15-1 3/4. She had three very good attempts at 15-7. On the first two, the bar bounced and came back on the standards, but eventually fell.

Santa Monica TC's Alicia Warlick was a surprise runner-up, clearing 14-5 1/4, the same height as Mary Sauer. Kellie Suttle was a disappointing =8 at 13-5 1/2. Mel Mueller no-heighted.

Slight swirling winds caused some problems for the vaulters.

Clackamas's Becky Holliday, 5th here at 14-1 1/4, is a potential star of the future.
