Women's Javelin
Not to be mean, but there
was no less meaningless competition than the women's javelin here in
Eugene. Kim Kreiner dominated, having five throws that would have won
the competition, capped with a 4th round best 182-11. Erica Wheeler
was 2nd with 172-0 and Serene Ross of Purdue 3rd with 170-10.
Unfortunately, no one in
the competition has a World Champs "B" qualifier, so unless
someone uncorks a 193-7 or better in the next few weeks, we might not
have a U.S. representative in Edmonton.
