MEN'S SHOT PREVIEW

Godina, Nelson & Bloom isn't a firm of lawyers or CPAs. Rather that's how the finish should stack up among the ball throwers, who also represented the U.S. last year in Sydney. Godina should regain the title he won in '98 and '99 but which Nelson grabbed in last year's titanic Trials tussle.

Godina has been sensational in the past few weeks, at the Stanford GP meet producing five throws over 70 feet, two beyond 71 and capping his super series with a best of 72-1/4. Nelson hit over 70 indoors this winter.

Potential threats to the big three could be Brian Miller (67-5 3/4 this season) and former Houston thrower John Davis (PR 67-41/4 for 3rd at Stanford behind Godina and Nelson).
