T&FN correspondent and marathon expert Sean Hartnett, a geography professor in his day job, rendered Patrick Makau’s World Record at the Berlin Marathon last year as a pace map… and more. With a WR assault by Geoffrey Mutai apparently a go this time round, this will act as a good guide for the kind of splits he’ll have to put up.
