Men's U.S. Ranking Index By Athlete, 1963-2001

While Track & Field News began its famous World Rankings with the 1947 season, U.S. Rankings did not begin until 1963 (1971 in the marathon, 1972 in the walks). In '63 the Rankings also included resident foreigners. They have subsequently been removed, so in some events the Rankings do not go 10-deep in '63.

You will also find reduced listings for the years 1947-62. Athletes listed there represent Americans who made the World Rankings and have simply been pulled across in the same order.
