Just in time for the Bislett Games (Oslo Diamond League), I have updated the women's 5000m statistical reference file.
In addition to updating all the data, I have introduced these new stats: year-by-year average of top 5 performers, year-by-year average of top 10 performers.
Post-Bislett 2011 Stat Analysis:
This was the 36th sub-15 min 5000m for Meseret Defar. She now leads Tirunesh Dibaba by 2 (in number for sub-15s).
The average of top 5 performances since 2009 for Meseret Defar is now 14:32.3, faster than Vivian Cheruiyot's average (since 2009) of 14:32.9.
Defar has the fastest (top 5 since 2009) average, followed by Cheruiyot and Tirunesh Dibaba.
Also, Bislett 2011 saw the 15th sub-15 for Sentayehu Ejigu, 3rd sub-15 for Genzebe Dibaba, 19th sub-15 for Meselech Melkamu, 5th sub-15 for Emebet Anteneh, 17th sub-15 for Priscah Cherono, 2nd sub-15 for Dolores Checa, 5th sub-15 for Ayalew Wude and 8th sub-15 for Pauline Korikwiang.
