In the initial collegiate indoor dual meet team rankings for 2014, familiar powerhouses sit at the top of the heap.



Arkansas won its first full-season national dual meet title last May and remain in the #1 spot, but the Razorbacks have a big showdown with #2 Texas on Friday night. Texas A&M, last year’s indoor champ, starts at #3.

7. Eastern Michigan

9. Kent State

10. Purdue





Texas A&M, last year’s runners-up, is the initial leaders here while defending champ LSU is #3. Early runner-up Texas meets #4 Arkansas on Friday night, the first women’s matchup in a previously men-only series between the two schools.

Regional Rankings were released Monday at DailyRelay.com. National Rankings will be expanded to 20 teams for both men and women beginning next week.


Teams are ranked according to wins and losses, strength and depth of schedule, and strength and breadth of marks. To be ranked, a team must compete in at least one dual (defined as a scored meet between four or fewer teams) during the indoor season.
