A History Of The NCAA Championships, 1921–2014
Bookmark and Share

This project, long envisioned as a book, began as a pamphlet written by T&FN Editor E. Garry Hill, listing the top 6 finishers of the NCAA Championships from its inception in 1921 through the meet of 1981, the last one that was men-only. In the years since, the project has grown and grown, with thousands of bits of missing data slowly being filled in. At this point, with ink-and-paper publications falling so far out of favor, it was decided to bring it online instead.

The 2014 update, which is now underway, includes much more than just the results of the most recent meet. Dozens of previously missing classes have been filled in, as have some missing first names. And, thanks to some excellent photo analysis by Richard Hymans, we have more estimated times in places behind 1st.
