BARCELONA 2010 SIGN HISTORIC AGREEMENT WITH
FACILITIES LOCATED ON MONTJUĪC MOUNTAIN
Ticket holders of next years European Athletics Championships will be able visit a great number of
facilities on Montjuīc Mountain at a concessionary price

The European Athletics Championships Barcelona 2010 has come to an historic agreement with the
majority of all cultural and entertainment facilities on Montjuīc Mountain, which will offer great
discounts for all athletics fans who are in possession of a Barcelona 2010 ticket. The B10 Marketing
Department and B:SM Parc de Montjuīc will assure that visitors can combine athletics with different
visits on Montjuīc Mountain, where the Olympic Stadium is located, during the breaks between
morning and evening sessions of the competition, at a concessionary price.
The intention of the Championships is, on the one hand, to offer ticket holders a great deal for as
many facilities as possible on Montjuīc Mountain, and, on the other hand, to turn the area into the
heart of Barcelona during the days of competition. It is the first time that a sport event in Barcelona
comes to a collaboration agreement with 13 different facilities, which is a great advantage for
both, citizens and foreign visitors.
The deals made with the various facilities vary from completely free access to some great ticket
discounts and free gifts. The validity period also varies according to each establishment, although
the majority lasts from Monday, 19 July until Sunday, 8 August. The European Athletics
Championships Barcelona 2010 will begin on 26 July and conclude on 1 August.
Besides the facilities on Montjuīc Mountain, the Barcelona City Council will also collaborate in this
project providing offers for some of its main tourist attractions like Mount Tibidabo or the Zoo. The
Barcelona 2010 marketing department has also succeeded discounts for users of the tourist bus.
