The X-Man Will Be Training In Gainesville

X-Man moves to Gainesville

I want to let all my fans know that I am now training with Coach Mike Holloway in Gainesville, Florida. I am very excited about the move to Gainesville to live and train closer to home. I'll now focus on preparing for the Olympics, I know that I must take advantage of every opportunity to gain an edge over my worthy competition. Being close to my immediate family in my hometown of Palm Bay will allow me the chance to visit with them and eliminate unnecessary travel and disruption in my training schedule.
I regret that I am leaving an outstanding program led by Coach Dennis Shaver who helped me improve my times in all three sprints (10.29 > 10.09 / 20.49 > 19.63 / 45.44 > 44.53). I will always be grateful to Coach Shaver for what I accomplished under his direction. There are many other people in Louisiana to whom I owe a multitude of thanks and gratitude. I am very fortunate to have had family and friends who never hesitated to help and support me in many different ways. You know who you are and I will always be grateful.

I am equally excited about working with Coach Holloway in Gainesville, who, like Coach Shaver, has a history of producing great track athletes. I am looking forward to a career of extraordinary performances and amazing times as I pursue my track and field dreams.

I have dreamed about the Olympics for many, many years. It’s hard to believe that I am now on the final leg of the journey to complete that dream. The next 10 months of my life will require dedication and commitment to my job. I am highly focused on the task at hand and extremely hyped about the possibility of achieving my goal of representing the USA at the 2008 Olympic Games.

I thank God that I am completely recovered from the injury I suffered at the USATF Championships last June. I am in great shape and my base training is going very well. I am planning to run two races in February, exactly where and when will be announced later. Please revisit my website for updated competition details as the season progresses.
