Greene actually has 52 lifetime wind-legal automatic timing sub-10.00s
Breakdown per year as follows:
1997 = 8
1998 = 8
1999 = 9
2000 = 6
2001 = 7
2002 = 5
2003 = 1
2004 = 8
That adds up to 52. |

There has been a debate before whether Greene has 51, 52 or 53 sub 10s. I have excluded quarter finals in Edmonton and rolling start in Berlin 98 (9.94).

Asafa could be the first man running 100 sub 10 but no gold medal that 's cruel... |

The numbers show that Ato dropped some pretty special times too. But he doesn't have a gold to show for his efforts either. |

Then who won the 200m at the 1997 World Championships? |

The point however, I speak for myself, is that ever more the sub 10s barrier is becoming abundant, just like counting sub 4-minute miles, no.
But I don't object anyone to make what-ever statistics they like. |
