Dennis Carr

Does anyone out there know what happened to Dennis Carr. He ran a 4:08 mile in high school way back in 1963. I think he went to USC and did fairly well. What happened in his life after USC? I've heard stories about him, but don't know for sure. Can anyone give information on him? Thanks.

Ditto--I'd also like to know what happened to Dennis Carr. Dennis had great speed for a miler. I remember he ran the 220 in H.S. in the low 22's . I felt the sting of that speed when I ran a cross-country race against Dennis in the fall of 1961. We hammer and tonged it all the way through that 1.8 (silly distance they ran in those days) mile race--with Dennis leaving me in the dust with a wicked kick over the final 200.

Does anyone out there know how fast Dennis Carr ran in college? Has anyone heard from him in the last few years?

Haven't got time to chase down his college times, but he scored once in the NCAA, taking 2nd as a senior in 1967 in 1:47.9y (Wade Bell of Oregon winning in 1:47.6)
