Does anybody have the high school shot put record from the time Leon Patterson of Taft High School,CA when 60 feet until Michael Carters 81+ foot throw. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the list! I always though that Leon Patterson was the first to go over 60 feet although both he and Bill Neider did it in the same year.

Robertson might have been the first 60-footer earlier in the season. I just have their season's best.

Homer Robertson could not have been the first over 60 feet as he made his best mark in 1956 while Patterson and Neider did it in 1952

Meant Leon Patterson, wrote Homer Robertson.

April 19, 1951, Bakersfield--Patterson 60-0.25, breaking Darrow Hooper's 59-10.

Patterson was T&FN's prep AOY the year before, throwing 59-2.5 as a junior.
