Adams 20.50, Carter 19.40; definetely not going to se Michelle over 20 again so soon (she had only one throw over that line)... regarding Adams, I always think she could be capable of 21.50, but till now this never materialised. It's a shame Ostapchuck revelead herself to be a drug cheater, because she was the only one capable of beating Adams when fit.

But only revealed herself to be capable of beating Adams because she was a drug cheater??

Since she was discovered to have cheated also years ago (in 2005 if I remember well) this was probably the reason she was capable of doing so. The strange thing is that she has been obtaining very good marks during all her career (always cheated or just did it to enable her to throw even farther?)... however, what makes me really angry is having the women's world record still there... how is it possible for a woman to throw 22+ or 75+ in the discus??!!

She didn't reveal herself, she was caught.

I was close to guessing both of them; I expect Adams to be in 21+ shape by the world championships.

I would suggest that Schwanitz is the favourite for Silver right now with Carter, Gong and Kolodko (who could very well do something ridic) fighting it our for bronze

A reasonably good result for Valerie Adams and of course Schwanitz had four throw between 19.31 and 19.76 at the German Nationals overnight. Gong of course got within 3 cm of Adams in Eugene in late May.

My question would be what do we know of Olympic Silver medalist Kolodko - 19.04m in Catellon in March and 18.57m in late May (Vila Real de San Antonio). The Russian Championships are not until 22-25 July in Moscow so perhaps we will learn more about form then.
[Someone has already asked why Russia would send 20 year-old Natalya Troneva (17.25m in April) to Gateshead recently for the European Teams Championships.
Clearly more to come here.
