Does anyone know the first issue of TFN to print these words: "The Bible of the Sport"? I was going through some of the very early issues and could not find those five words.

If it's any help in your research, it was still NOT labeled that on its front page as of summer 1965!!
(I know, because I still have a couple of 1965 issues!!)

But I'm sure Garry Hill will come forth with your answer!! :D

February I, 1968. That was the issue announcing the change in format, including an increase to 18 issues per year.

The cover showed Dick Fosbury.

Oh, the hubris! 20 years old and already the sacred scripture of T&F.
On the other hand, it's the facts - not fiction, so it is indeed GOSPEL!
