1500 list is almost unbelievable. All the aforementioned plus Manano, Lomong, Farah and Rupp?

I missed naming Lomong, Manzano, Rupp, and Farah to the 1500 field!

There's 49 runners in the men's 1500 field, and 34 women in their 1500.
I imagine they'll have more than one race for each.
Otherwise, way too crowded!!
Hopefully, they'll divide the talent equally for each heat.

They'll be having a pacer for every race, I've heard.
In the women's 1500, there are no top tier names...like Rowbury, Uceny, CWT, or even Brenda Martinez.
So Cain will be running with women of close to the same speed as she is.
Unless she follows the pacer, I can't see her getting an "A"!!
But she could win!!

Interesting that Treniere Moser is running the 5K!

ADD: Sorry, GH!! I was typing at the same time you were posting!!

This only serves well to illustrate my column in the magazine earlier in the year abou USaTF's need to concentrate on getting meets going in the May/June window where athletes can get their Q's. From the feature currently posted to our front page on who has A's and B's, here's the list of U.S. men in the 1500.

1500 (A) 3:35.00
Galen Rupp—3:34.78
(B) 3:37.00
Matthew Centrowitz—3:36.65
Lopez Lomong—3:36.52

And this with almost no Americans good enough to make either of the Pre miles, and w/ the New York DL not having a 1500 this year.

Is there going to be a stream of this? The 1500m look extremely interesting.

sure does look interesting... it appears flotrack will have video and live coverage (likely subscription-based)... check this site as we get closer to the start of the meet.

With Mo and Rupp listed to double, which they did last year also, I am thinking that they are mainly pacing the longer race while racing the 1500 for speed base.

Only two (US) collegians on the list; like last year one of them is the best collegiate steepler (last year Cabral ran the CL at this meet) but here Coburn is running the 1500 (but she is more of a national/international athlete like Cabral was by this time last year). The other is Stephanie Brown, Arkansas also running the 1500.

Cabral ran more than a CL last year; he set an American CR.

I wonder if Mo will just run the first half of the 5K?

In an interview on FloTrack, Treniere Moser said she's going for a 5000 PR.......and if she runs really fast, she might run the 5K at USATF!!
Her PR is 15:34.56 from 2007.

If Mary Cain runs at least 4:10.76.......0.01 faster than she did at Drake.......she will have broken her EIGHTH HSR of 2013, indoors and out......and NINTH HSR overall (adding the 4:11.01 from last year!).

Having watched Mary Cain since I filmed her State Championship win in 9th grade against Aislinn Cuffe I will predict two things.

1. Under 4:10
2. Detention for skipping school.
