Doha is a mere 2 weeks away and so far I see no indication that IAAF would continue with their fantasy league. Anybody knows anything?

I have to assume, we've scaried them away from ever doing a Fantasy game again.

The one I don't get is what happen to the Visa challange that the USATF used to put togrther? They seemed very responsive to comments as they updated the game every year based on contestants comments. So, unlike the IAAF games seem to be interested in what the contestants thought. But I guess there was just too much complain for the games to continue. So, lesson learned don't complain about the only game in town. :(

not sure what it means, but the DL tweeted this this morning:

IAAF Diamond League
Keep those fantasy #IDL match ups coming. 1st meet of the year in Doha is just over 2 wks away & then the outdoor season really is underway!

I really hope they reinstate this in time for the first meet at Doha. I really enjoyed playing it last year, despite the problems with startlists / incorrect points etc.

Have tweeted the same to @Diamond_League

The person in charge had to endure a good half hour of mump and Flump's complaints about previous years, so fingers crossed things may improve.

But I still won't be getting my 2011 prize!!! :x

Which space are we supposed to watch? Our old accounts? Or will there be a whole new site?

Did they give a reason for not giving U the prize?

I assume U didn't cover all your complaints in only a half an hour.

Are you going to set up our league once it becomes available? I wonder, if everything does not hate to be reset from the beginning.

Well the prize was never given because the result was never announced. The only way I knew I'd won was because Daisy (I think it was Daisy) took the time to add everything up.

After everyone playing for the whole season they just abandoned it at the end and left everything in limbo. I didn't play last year so not sure if there was a satisfactory ending or not :?

It appears the site is up and ready to enter teams. I have set up a tfn league as "tfn message board" pin is 10548. Someone let me know if they can join.

I love prediction contests (as you well know) but this sort of fantasy league has no appeal to me. There are too many vary variables that are constantly in flux. I applaud anyone who has the patience (and TIME) to partake!

I'll be there for any USATF / WC contest!!

I wanted to join, but there is nothing clickable on that page. Help!

I found it. For those that follow, IAAF-Fans-Fantasy.

When you see Mump and Flump as a welcoming committee, you have arrived.

If mump and flump have been brought on board to 'SHARE THEIR TOP TIPS', then why can't flump get his prize from 2011?

So I selected my team, but when I submit the team it does not keep my selections. Anyone else having that problem too?

There was no prize. It was as if the whole thing never happened.

As mump described it at the time, it was like entering the stadium at the end of a Marathon only to find all the lights off and the whole crowd gone home.

We only know the result because of you.

I'm confused already.

Are we using the same profile's as before or setting up new ones? If it's the same as before why does it say my email address doesn't exist? If we're setting up new ones where do you do that?

Are we starting from scratch?

We're not part of it at all, just met the guy in charge in Gothenburg and he asked us for some advice.

Do let us know as it goes along if there are any hiccups of mistakes as we'll be keeping in touch with him to give feedback as it goes along.

Now I've given all my tips away I'll never win :(

If you want to change your name/team name it can be done just a bit tricky.

When you sign up it's asks for your name which it then broadcasts to the world without asking if you want to use a pseudonym. JUst click on your name in the top left. You can then change it to anything you want.

You then have to enter your password. IT reads as if you are going to have to change your password but you don't, it's just checking you are who you say you are.

Looking at the meeting records here:

http://www.diamondleague-doha.com/Live- ... tatistics/

I'm sure some events last year had meeting records broken (I was playing the fantasy game and got double points), yet none of the records are from the 2012 event - is the Diamond League site out of date, and if so, anyone know where I can get up to date meeting records?

Seems as though you can only have 2 athletes per country instead of three like last year.

Also Maksim Sidorov in mSP is not American!!

Ah, perfect - there were 7 MRs last year. Thank you!

Typical of the IAAF site not to have up-to-date information. Hopeless.

Not only is IAAF missing last year's MRs, they're missing all the MRs from 2010 and 2011 as well. Which is particularly weird since I'm pretty sure those were in there last year...

Thanks to all you younger guys for figuring out the pitfalls and in/outs of this &*&^%*** game. If I understand it correctly one picks 9 people and 4 have to be one gender and no more than 2 can be same country, which is close to last years game.

8, the captain is picked out of those. It did not allow me the ninth (originally, I also understood it as 8+1).

Same here - it has to be nine to make the funny triangle layout they've gone with on the homepage symmetrical...
