NCAA rules are about revenue sports maintenance. The other sports are afterthoughts if they are thought about at all.

Perhaps that is the way the NCAA should think about things. One category and set of rules for those sports that produce revenue and another for the rest. That might be a saner approach.

NCAA rules are also about the NCAA being in complete control. They are like a football coach from the 1960s.

Simple way to fix it is have all the athletes refuse to play in the first round of March Madness. It would never happen but it is the only way for things to change.

That's the way it should be. The BCS is the most unfortunate consequence of allowing the schools to have any control.
