Harlem ShakeIs anybody else enjoying this new craze?
Re: Harlem ShakeDon't rush me, I'm still struggling with Gangnam Style..
Re: Harlem Shake
Harlem Shake is effectively going to end that guy's 15 minutes. I never enjoyed all the flash mob dances. Same for all the versions of "Call Me Maybe." But this Harlem Shake is hilarious. Here is just one version, from yesterday's UT-UK basketball game. Ex-Vol and current NBA player Tobias Harris is the guy who starts it off with something on his head, which I guess is required for this dance. http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/021613aaa.html
Re: Harlem ShakeThe Harlem Shake will stake its 15-minute claim to fame because ANYone can do it - there are no dance moves to learn - it's just trying to look as stupid as you can. I excel at it, of course.
Re: Harlem ShakeNope. Not gonna do it. Would not be prudent.
Re: Harlem Shake
The older you get, the more apt you are to be doing it involuntarily. I find myself doing it as I get out of bed every morning.
Re: Harlem Shake
Try crawling to the bathroom.
Re: Harlem Shake
After I turned 40, I went and did a Masters Decathlon. When I awoke for Day 2, I literally had to crawl around the motel room for 45 minutes before I could stand up. I took two Advil and spent an hour on the track warming up before the 110H! Having never been knee-walking drunk/hung-over, that was my one encounter with complete loss of bodily control!!
Re: Harlem ShakeLooks like 'jump around -- the Third/Fourth Quarter interlude at Wisconsin football games.
Re: Usain Bolt and friends bust out the Harlem ShakeFunny lol.....i see spearmon too......
Re: Usain Bolt and friends bust out the Harlem Shake
Good catch. I didn't notice Spearmon the first time around. He and Bolt are best friends.
Re: Harlem Shake
I think that's a big reason for its popularity -- anybody can dance to it. People with pent-up dance moves who have always been afraid to dance can do it. You can't look "bad" doing the Harlem Shake. The version by Bolt and crew is another good one.
