Can't find anything other than for Cain and that was from the Millrose tweet. What's maddening is that the men's 1500m splits are listed in the results.

I'll sum it up. You were wrong in what you thought you read and from whom. Multiple times.

Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs CainWow, Sheila really had the hammer down on that last lap.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
The collegians primarily run the mile indoors, not the 1500, although the run the 1500 outdoors and run the mile outdoors less than the men. Thus, the indoor collegiate 1500 is likely not as good as the mile. Last edited by 26mi235 on Sat Feb 16, 2013 10:06 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
The time as quoted is wrong anway as the 4:09 seems to have been pulled out of thin air. The correct time of 4:11.72 would be the second fastest collegian however.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
Very good 800 guy from Iowa; he took down a pretty good 800 field at the Big Ten meet last spring. I am not sure if he lead all the way, but he took the race strategy of several very good finishers while also beating guys like Casmir Loxsom (Penn St) and Harun (MN) and Mudd (Wis).
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs CainJeez Louise!!
I was just over at Let'sRun searching for any videos from Cain's race tonight. Boy, are their Message Board people a bunch of hard ass you-know-whats!! They have a thread there saying Cain elbowed Reid and tripped Hasay during the race. But that's not the worst of it. Not by a mile!! (sic!) They said some VERY hateful and harsh things about not only Cain, but also about Hasay!! Personal things! I won't repeat them!! They're too ugly!! The kid is just 16 years old!! Is that the way these creeps treat 16 year old girls?? Come on, Let'sRun, either clean up your Message Board.....or make those creeps apologize to Mary and Jordan!! I ain't going back there....ever!! (Our MB commenters are Mother Teresa's compared to them!!)
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
cains 1500 time would be #2 on the ALL TIME collegiate 1500 list behind only tina krebs, cains mile time would put her at #3 on the ALL TIME collegiate mile list behind only jenny barringer-simpson and sally kipyego.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cainmy problem was directly after the race, i continued to listen to the espn3.com audio of the reid and cain interview

Mary Cain 4:28 Mikaela Shiffrin (17) won the slalom at the World Alpine Skiing Championhips Melissa Franklin (17) won two races at the Orlando Grand Prix for a total of four wins for the meet.

Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
Just a bit emotionally invested in this aren't we?
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
No need to apologize. It helped contribute to further "entertaining" posts. I think Al leaves Cain under the watchful eye of Henworth so Al was not seen.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cainvideo of the meet
http://www.lohud.com/article/20130216/S ... rose-Games intro for cain, she's a rock star tail of video, reid is having as much fun as cain and cain snippet, said in nationals, she would really gun for it does that mean time, or win
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs CainMillrose on ESPN this evening from 8-10pm EST.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs CainThe Women's mile went pretty much as I expected with Sheila Reid winning.
-Sheila Reid I think is now the 4th best womens miler in North America after Rowbury, Simpson and Uceny. I noticed in the last two races she ran with Mary Cain she got Mary to take a Victory lap with her. I wonder how she will feel in the next year or two if Mary C. starts blowing by her on the last lap. -Mary Cain...what can you say...awesome. But based on her previous times, the 4:28 was about what I thought she would run...so it wasn't unexpected. -Emma Coburn was the big surprise for me. But thinking about it...it shouldn't have been. She was the only Olympic Finalist in the race, she trains at high altitude and she is built like an Amazon. -The other runner I was watching was Abbey D. She was the second youngest runner in the race. Her 4:30 is a PR and a great time for a 5K runner. If she could run them all...she has the potential to finish first or second place in the 1,500, 3K and 5K at the NCAA Indoor championships
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Caini can see sheila reid becoming a 5k runner sooner than later
in the start of the race reid applauded when cain was announced also the victory lap stuuff was class.. on the eson3 interview the part about reid being able to tell her kids, she could tell than she was in the races, when cain set the records that was class too
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs CainI've watched a LOT of Sheila Reid's races, and I hope she sticks to the 1500, only because the 3000 doesn't exist anymore. It's crazy that she had to petition her way into the Olympics last year when she's clearly been the best Canadian woman middle distance runner since the fall of 2010.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
I am just as impressed by her well-spoken, refreshing, and genuine interviews. She shows no nervousness and exudes her happiness just for running a PR and enjoying the moment. She seems to be well-grounded and not overwhelmed or full of herself at her accomplishments of the past few weeks.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Caini'd like to see any video interview after the race last night
sheila reid did have the 2011 ncaa 1500 and 5k double she is a decent kicker off a tactical race.. but if g dibaba goes 4 flat in 1500 that's a tough race for reid to handle cain is from bronxville, which is a affuent suburb of nyc her dad is a doctor,
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cain
re ^ that's a tough race for almost anyone to handle.
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cainin 2012 g dibaba had the 4th best 1500, so i suspect this year at age 22 is close to her prime
reid is a year older

Don't leave us hanging - Finish the verse, man!
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs CainWHEN they showed her parents lst night, the said he was garbled a bit, but thought they said
Anesthesiologist, i have the replay on now so hopefully i can catch exactly what was said an anes should be able to easily afford whatever the fee is salazar charges.. i have a friend who lives in bronxville, went to swarthmore post grad at wharton
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs CainWas there a 3000m split taken on Cheserek's 2-mile?
When Lindgren ran old HSR of 8:40.0 he had a HSR of 8:06.3 en route. Cheserek posted 3018m split in 8:08.40. At even pace that is 8:05.49 at 3000, better than Lindgren. There was enough foresight to time Cain at 1500m in mile; was same done for 3000m in 2 miles??
Re: Duel at the Armory: Hasay vs Cainheres the 3k split
