DeeDee Trotter speaks to local high school

DeeDee Trotter was in town the other day to speak to students at Chattanooga Central High School.

2012 was the best year of her career. I don't think many of us thought she would make the Olympic Team in the individual 400 (I picked Natasha Hastings to finish third and her in the relay pool). Not only did she surprise everyone by making the Olympic team, she surprised everyone by winning bronze in London.

She tailed off in the Diamond League after the Olympics, but had a great year otherwise. Not going to count her out for Moscow this year.

And she was soooooo close to a Silver medal!!

But, I'm glad CO got silver. That woman sure can compete in a big meet.
