Fauja Singh ran the London Marathon last year at age 101 in seven hours and forty nine minutes. He will call it quits this month. Not bad. He started running marathons at 89. He holds the record for the fastest marathon ever run by someone over ninety, clocking in at 5 hours and 40 minutes in Toronto in 2003, at the age of 92. He also holds the world record in the 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, mile, 3000, and 5000 in the over 100 age group. It's either hilarious or inspiring, but proves we are fans of a truly lifelong sport.
