Great start.

On a somewhat related note, I'm not convinced that running the 400 indoors on a banked 200m synthetic track is all that 'slower' than an outdoor track, exp. considering that for almost half of an outdoor race you're running against the wind (that seems to be more of a detriment than the help you're getting from running almost half the race with the wind).

and if you're in the outside lane you finish with about a meter's drop in elevation.

Regina George and Kimberlyn Duncan also ran faster than last week's respective WLs in that meet.

This is about the same drop as the distinctly not-record-legal Boston Marathon. Maybe they should move the start/finish points to where they used to be on tracks long ago -- the mid-point of the straight. Then, the runner would have to go uphill first, then come back to the zero point for elevation.
