Re: BATF's Worse Nightmare - 3-D PrintersMy daughter's Rocket Club team is using a 30D printer (not as advanced as this one) to build key elements of their 3-meter rocket for their NASA project. The objective is to design, build, and launch a rocket that will generate supersonic flow in the interior of the rocket. The rockets are limited to about 0.80 mach (and a mile elevation), so they decided to make their experimental design one where they could exceed Mach 1.0 in the interior. The final event is a week at NASA/Huntsville at the end of April (you can watch it on NASA TV, a cable channel). It certainly is NOT what we did in high school.
