I liked Skyfall and Argo. Most of the rest on the lists I either didn't care for wouldn't consider paying to see. Les Miz? Really? Best film that no one saw: Robot and Frank
Flumpy wrote:My favourite film of the year by far is 'Amour'. Knowing how closely Marlow and my tastes match I'll have to assume it just missed his Top 10.
Ha! But you have to proud of me that The Intouchables made my list, no? Nothing blowed up real good in it!
Haven't seen 0 dark thirty or Life of Pi so I'm flying blind.
1. Lincoln. 2. Argo. 3. Les Miz. 4. The Hobbit. For me it's been a pitiable year in movies. Then I haven't seen any foreign movies yet since my local Art movie theater went belly up. C'mon Netflix!
If I didn't love my wife SOOOOOOO much, I woulda walked in the first 30 minutes. As it was, even my wife ended up not liking it - said the Liam Neeson (non-musical) one was much better.

Chacun a son goute. You say tomato I say Tohmahto!
I liked Avengers, Argo, Life of Pi, and The Hobbit.
Also, enjoyed seeing 3-D re-issues of Wall-ie and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I see quite a few animated films with my two sons but thought it a weak year in that department - although Rise of the Guardians and Hotel Transylvania had their moments.
01 The Avengers 02 Skyfall 03 The Dark Knight Rises 04 Magic Mike 05 The Hobbit 06 The Hunter (worldwide release in 2012 but a 2011 Aussie movie) 07 Cloud Atlas (probably need to see it again to determine exactly what I think...) 08 The Amazing Spider-Man 09 The Sapphires 10 A Royal Affair

And not to be confused with "Borat: The Musical" now showing on Broadway.
(Sorry, my friend. I couldn't resist. :] ) .
Get a life, Brian (Sorry, my friend, I couldn't resist, either.)
Hunger Games The Hobbit Brave Life of Pi
As for mine, I have not seen many; I liked them all reasonably well. The one that I liked more than I expected was The Hunger Games.
I did not see it until this holiday season and had read all three books this fall. I was surprised at the number of things that I did not pick up on in the first book that were in the first movie (some put in without being mentioned, possibly).
