Pretty amazing breadth of performance for Team USA, scoring a top-ten ranking in every event save the roads and long throws.

I could probably look this up myself but I'm too lazy...has the USA ever put someone in the top ten in every distance track event in a single year? (Which would, of course, mean putting someone in the top ten of every track event, as I doubt we've ever been shut out of a sprint or hurdle event.)

I look with dismay and consternation at the dearth of USA men in the DT, HT, JT, he said melodramatically.

Add to that the one 9th place in PV and bottom half entriesin the LJ, and we can see that USATF has some obvious goals to shoot for!

The good news is the continuing resurgence in the distances, including one in the SChase!
