Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!
Is she coming out of retirement to compete?? If so, GONE is the women's age 40 and over record!! It's 4.11 (13-5 1/2). But that's the OUTdoor record. If this is INdoors, then I don't know what the 40+ record is!!
Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!
3.65m (11' 11.5) http://world-masters-athletics.org/records/indoor-women Caveat: in various events there are performances superior to the listed masters records which have not been officially recognized or take an extremely long time to be recognized, due to bureaucratic or other reasons.
Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!Stacy just had her second baby about 6 months ago, I'm not aware of any plans by her to compete at this point.
Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!
So why is she listed on the roster of participants?? Will she be there just as a speaker, or workshop leader, or whatever?? But, congrats to Stacy for her 2nd child!!
Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!Sorry I should have been more clear. That's a roster of famous pole vaulters who will be in attendance. I do not know who is and is not competing. I assume most of the big foreign athletes are competing, but I don't know that for sure.
Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!
So, by 'fields', you meant as participants in the clinics.
Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit! The competition will be loaded at the Pole Vault Summit. This is not a start list but most of the athletes on the list are competing in one competition or another (this is far more than will be in the main elite competition), just use a little common sense. Tim Mack and Stacy Dragila haven't competed in years, and if Nick Hysong is still jumping it's not going to knock your socks off.

Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!Lavillenie wins with 5.86m.
Re: Loaded fields for Pole Vault Summit!I watched the event last night (saw from 4.40 and 5.50 to the finish). The winners were clearly better than the competition, especially on the men's side.

Saxer should jump 4.50-4.60 this indoor season. Big lifetime best for Kubishta, who works full-time as a teacher in Arizona. Lavillenie is just amazing. da Silva looked good, had big height on some of the bars. Whitt had HUGE height over his bars, all of his jumps at 5.50 were way over and he would barely nick it with something on the way down. Hollis was only jumping from 6 lefts. Hardee almost had 5.35 on his last jump for a lifetime PR, he should improve on that this year. Nice to see Blom return after retiring. Lewis was all over the place in the air and none of his jumps were very close. Hooker and Suhr are here but not jumping. Jenn is opening next week, not sure about Steve. Steve is hoping to relocate to Arizona.
