Just to notice a superb international (World 25m championships) silver medal today by Alia ATKINSON in the 50m breaststroke event...

I seem to recall one of the early good Jamaican swimmers was a female freestyler called Atkinson in the 70s. Then there was Janelle Atkinson a decent swimmer in the 90s (4th in 2000 Olympics) and their current male freestyle champ is Jevon Atkinson. All related?

Jevon is Janelle Atkinson's brother, but Alia is not related to them.

She was 4th in the 100m breastroke in London.
