I have been high jumping for 2 years and jump 7'. I am about to start my freshman season in college and have been wearing the asics turbo high jump shoes and love them. But my college is sponsored by both nike and asics. I don't know if I should keep my turbo jumps or switch to theNike Zoom HJ III. Which one's are better?

How long is a piece of string?
A 7' one is 2.134m
And the correct answer is ExCoastRanger's. If you love your present shoes there's no need to change. Good luck in the college ranks Highjump765 (and when you clear 7.6 1/2"you must change your handle to Highjump230!)

marnhj, haha thanks my 765 actually represents something else but hopefully i'll be jumping 7'6.5 soon! are you in college right now?
Highjump765, for your information, markhj has a very good pedigree, as do the couple other posters here with "hj" in their handle, although a number of others are also deep in experience and knowledge.
Good luck, there are a lot of 7 foot (2.14) jumpers in college, but not so many are just frosh getting started.

Thanks I appreciate it! My first year jumping in high school I was coming off a knee surgery and had part of my hip bone broken off due to basketball.
I haven't learned to bound yet because of the lack of time I had to train and I am also playing basketball in college. I'm going down to Texas to work with Sue Humphries and Charles Austin before the outdoor season starts.

To give Mark his full due, his pedigree is better than good: he was 9th in the Olympic final in '80.
