Anyone got ANY wind readings from the Helsinki games? I can't find any on the internet.
The FAT times are pretty easy to find (they look a bit weird though), but not wind readings.
wind readings at 1952 olympics?

Re: wind readings at 1952 olympics?I've never seen any wind readings from the Helsinki men's 100. I believe they were lost and never found which is unbelievable.
For the men's 200, the wind was 1.0. In the 110 hurdles, the wind was reported only as "legal". No official measurement was given.
Re: wind readings at 1952 olympics?I think you'll find that the Olympic results in our Archive section have wind readings if any are available.
Re: wind readings at 1952 olympics? In general, they don't exist, or we would have them on our sites. Good question, though, I might check with a good source I have at the Sports Library of Finland, who has access to all of the original scoresheets for all sports from 1952, and has helped me a lot.
Re: wind readings at 1952 olympics? Thanks everyone for the good replies. If wind readings could be found that would be great!
Re: wind readings at 1952 olympics?
No wind readings on the original scoresheets per my source in Finland, who went to the Helsinki City Archives to check them out for me. So they do not exist in general, although possibly an isolated reading may show up somewhere. But it would not be official as no of Official Results or Original Scoresheets.

Bummer, but thanks heaps for checking it out!
