Bolt clearly shut down, no?

World record was out of reach when he was looking at the clock. Yes, shut it down.

I'm not sure I can buy that. It's pretty difficult to tell exactly how far you are from the finish, and calculate how long it will take you to get there. IMO he just decided the win was enough today. If he were really going for the record, he wouldn't have been looking at the clock (until after the finish), at Blake or anywhere else other than directly ahead.

Wow, even the same wind as MJ?

Are you ATK's special friend?

Just remembered this pearl from you before the 100:

edJon20 wrote:Bolt has yet to crack a smile. He's nervous, possible false start.

Your keyboard expresses your immense imbecility better than I ever could. Further comment is superfluous.

I have to give you credit. You never give up. :D

I can't, I'm too salty right now  . Bolt denies Blake of two gold medals, I guess I gotta wait till Rio 2016.

Congrats to Jamaica, I was kinda upset to see Bolt and blake so standoffish towards Werin. Again congrats to all the winners

In Bolt's post race BBC interview he said he knew on the homestretch that the world record was out of reach.

One for UK football fans (and ATK, probably):

Yes, well, that's OK, but could he do it on a wet February Wednesday in Stoke?

I feel bad for Lemaitre. Passed on the 100 to have a better chance to medal here and ran a weak curve in the semi's.

Let the Jamaican Nationalism rain down on this thread. Jamaican fans are crazy.

I was wrong about my prediction, big whop, it was a prediction. cry me a river

Congrats to Bolt Defending his title, Blake coming behind and Weir running a PB and getting his first major medal.

Bolt pretty much cemented his legacy as the greatest sprinter though.

He said the same in his interview with CTV and added his felt his back starting to tighten so he didn't want to push it and risk injury.

How about this: He equal MJ then outworldly world record, despite easing down in the last 10m with a mini-celebration and feeling a slight strain on his back coming off the turn!!1

Incredible, jogging last 10m 19.32¡¡
His "real time" probably would be around 19.25-19.26.
He felt really a little pain in his back, so better dont have possible injury, and he will get great gold in 4x100 with WR.

Bolt muted to all haters about him that exists here and in the worldwide.

Bolt is THE BEST, without doubt

are there Bolt haters? I don't think I've ever run into one. Even my American brethren who don't know anything about the sport other than rooting for Americans love the guy.
