Schwarzkopf just said in an interview with german tv, that the british officials told her, she is not disqualified, they mistook her for the runner in lane 6.

Schwarzkopf just said she was approached by one of the judges, they showed her a picture which revealed that they got the wrong woman. It wasn't her who stepped on the inside lane, it was Savitskaya on lane 6.

Totally ridiculous that they took this moment away from her, she has won silver though.

We've had a long discussion about this before - you can find it by searching. I'm an advocate of that change, and calculated that despite the non-linearity of the scoring tables the order of finish in the 1500 would have been the order of finish in the decathlon in all of the WC and OG decthlons in the last 25 years. I didn't do those calculations with the heptathlons.

The main argument against this change: It switches the advantage of drafting from the athlete in the lead to the athlete who is behind.

This is just bad sportsmanship by the ukranian officials, Savitskaja in lane 6 stepped on the line, but they are trying get Schwarzkopf disqualified (or Chernova), to STEAL a medal.
