I dont see any of these guys at less than 95% on the final. Day 1 heats, Day 2 semi, Day 3 off, Day 4 final. I see the top 6 performers making it through the semis without leaving a lung and aorta on the track. They will be sharp for the final. Best guess, baring rain, no one medals coming after 47.7.

The way the crowd sounded, in his heat, they really might just pull him to something amazing in the final.

I don't know if the crowd in the final will be anywhere near as loud or as British.

Both van Zyl and Fredericks bombed. The final in London is going to look significantly different than the one in Daegu based on the big names missing.

Also, look out for one of the athletes from Japan. I don't know if 400h is the equivalent of Ekiden for the track in Japan but EVERY year this country manages to send 3 qualifiers to global events. The only country that has been as consistent at sending the max number of 400h to global events over the last 20 years is the USA (and I think JAM; RSA also does a very good job, but not as good as JPN).

2of the 3 Japanese were DQ'd (what happened). The 3rd did not qualify.

Well, Tinsley is the US champion, but, yes, heat one looks like a pretty good final. It seems likely that the two time quallies will come from #1.

Yes, good draw for Tinsley in heat 3. And in heat 1, Sanchez, Clement, and Greene all in the same heat.
