Well they can end their lack of distinction between sports (both in length of ban - 2 years or even 4 is a much stronger ban for a footballer as it is for an athlete, added to the fact that an athlete can use a track during his/her ban, while a footballer can't train with a club - unless it's life or nothing, and more importantly the 'whereabouts' rule), and even more importantly, that between drugs - what stupid (GH - may I use some Eldrick insults here?) idiot really thinks a rugby player snorting a line of charlie really deserves the same ban as a steroid or EPO cheat in T&F? (And that a drink-driver, woman-beater etc. should get off scot-free.)
I can't believe Seb Coe thinks there should be no distinction in the latter case, I believe he's a well-educated man.
Let the leagues or teams ban cocaine offenders in team sports just as the NFL and other US leagues ban them along with other offenders who 'bring the sport into disrepute' rather than cheat at it.
