Good for Martina. I thought the running Dutchman was finished. Sprinting careers are so fickle nowadays. One year someone is hot enough to win silver at the world champs and the next year he can barely qualify.

Sprints can leave room for making choices. Are you going to hit someone because their best races were a bit windy. I do not remember his marks, but if he has 20.00/2.2, that is a lot better than a 20.25/1.5. etc.

I agree, I find the rule a bit harsh and he is a perfect reason why it is a problem. If one is injured for awhile and then returns with just a short time period to qualify then it can become an issue.
