Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2Price will lead but expect Mackie to battle Lipsey down the stretch. Lipsey for the win.
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2Price and the wrong-eventer (
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2Fedronic's 2:03.54 the fastest non-advancer in meet history (Chris Crowther of Florida 2:03.68 in '86)
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2Huge PR by 2 or 3 seconds for Kendra Chambers, who switched from the 400 to the 800 this season; just missed final.
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2Also Oregon looses 2 points with Francis not making the final.
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2
Except it might help her with that 400 where she his 51-low for the fastest time.
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2
Phyllis Francis ran the 400, her sister Claudia the 800.
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2
Claudia Francis fell behind in the first 100m, and then just ran alone in last place; did she have an injury coming in?
Re: NCAA w800—defender rated #2
When the race went out she looked strong to the first 100, looked like she might lead or be top 2 at the break. I turn away from my screen for a second, and by 200m into the race, she is already out of contention.

Re: NCAA w800—Price leads Q with near-PR 2:01.66
And they can thank the weather gods, probably. 88 degrees and humid is pretty deadly to somebody from the Pacific Northwest. It's now manifesting itself in the steeple.
Re: NCAA w800—Price leads Q with near-PR 2:01.66
How much can heat and humidity get to you in a two minute race? Anyway, it didn't seem to bother Mackie too much did it?
