That would be funny if:
Usain Bolt repeat 10.04
Asafa Powell repeat 10.02
And Christophe Lemaitre show 9.99 :D

Bolt needs to put up this season. This will be the third year of not reaching that high bar he set previously, if he doesn't put up times close to his PBs.

2009: 6/11: 10.00 (-.09)
6/27: 9.86
7/17: 9.79
We all know what he did in Berlin in August. Ostrava was a bad start and he smoked in the last 20m. If he gets a good start in London it's his.

I have wondered the same thing in this back and forth here. I think that the biggest issue is the start and if he has trouble getting that back to a reliable, if not spectacular, beginning it will put pressure on him, which is probably not a good thing for execution.

From a fans perspective, does anyone else feel like either Bolt needs to run fast or loose in Rome.
I wasn't at the meet, but It just seemed extremely awkward after his Ostrava race since he only ran 10.04...

As I've said previously he did a "poor" race in 2009, almost same time, same wind, and we all know what he did in Berlin. He has a 9.82 already, and he'll be fine.

I'm talking in terms entertainment. I was more entertained watching Powell win in 10s a few weeks ago then I was with Bolt on Friday. Because of the high expectations Bolts runs seem dissapointing.

"But all eyes are on Bolt who a year ago clocked 9.91 in a mouth watering duel, and drawing on hidden reserves of energy after a sluggish start, edged ahead of Asafa Powell (9.93) with Christophe Lemaitre finishing third (10.00)."

Robert Harting has apparently withdrawn. Anyone know what happened to him?

Strained abdominal muscle according to his coach. He said they were just being cautious with the Olympics looming, nothing dramatic.

Why Bolt is fidgeting with the start that produced 9.58. There was nothing wrong with it.
