thanks for the video link... was it me, or was that was one easy looking 44.72 for the long-striding james?... w/ plenty of energy to seek out and give congrats to his competitors after the race. i think merritt, and all others, will have their hands full this summer.

Any sprinter that makes it look easy is probably doing EXACTLY what is necessary to go as fast as s/he can. Relaxation is key, but many people are fooled and think the athlete isn't 'pushing' it.

That's the reason y ppl are like wow come olympics time. Bolt is a perfect example. He gives u 9.7's pre-championships and then boom a 9.5. Another athlete is Shelly-ann Fraser. U have some athletes who will not show u their hand until championships time. Period.
Dix is an amazing 200 runner, but in 100 Gatlin is better and with difference.
In this moment the difference between Merrit and Kirani is his first 200. If Kirani want to win to Merrit has to improve his 200, Merrit is very fast, 20.16 recently. Merrit will be sure in sub44, Kirani perhaps but i repeat he has to improve his first half of race for compete with Merrit. They are 2 favourites for gold of course.

can't argue with that, 0.53 seconds isn't chump change... and k. james has never run 44.19. shaping up to be a great london final.
Have to seen the entry list for Pre Classic 400s. Should be a mouth watering contest between James and Merritt. June 2nd 2012 - Eugene, Oregon Men’s 400 Meters Kirani James (Grenada) LaShawn Merritt (USA) Kevin Borlée (Belgium) Christopher Brown (Bahamas) Jeremy Wariner (USA) Angelo Taylor (USA) Demetrius Pinder (Bahamas) Oscar Pistorius (South Africa)
I think Dix is ducking Gatlin. He surely would have lost today.
How can you come up with stuff like this?
Are any of these guys at the top of their game at the present and why would Dix necessarily lose to Gatlin? You don't think Dix can take Rodgers by a 1/10 of a second?
