I used to race the boys and win. So I knew I had a special gift and should work on improving it.

Thanks for the great read. Seems like she will be focusing more on the 200 than the 100. I hope she can get that gold in the 200 and make history.

I can tell that the staff writers and editors who cover track and field are often not true fans/followers of the sports. The writers says "Last year she ran the 100 meters in 10.76 seconds, the second quickest time in history." Obviously we know thats not right.

As much as I love Veronica i am rooting for Allyson Felix for this olympics. It would be a shame for her to not get one olympic gold in the 200 after setting all those records as a teenager.

Based on past interviews, if she was presented a choice of gold medals, she would prefer the 100m gold vs the 200m in London. Everyone wants to be considered the “fastest” in the world” since the 100m is a more prestigious event.

Well it seems as tho VCB came to her senes and will aim to take that 200 for the third time and make histroy.I think she knows she has a better chance at the 200 rather than the 100.
I don't think VCB considers the 100 more prestigious than the 200.She was always better at the 200 than the 100, her coach at the time told her to run the 100 at trails in 2004 and see what happen. She agrees and won bronze at her first major chamiopnsips and ever since then she have been doing the double.
I think this year you will see her running more 200 meters

She is good at both. She will do both in London. The only problem with her and the 100m has been her starts which have been very inconsistent over the years except 2010. Even though she was already "handicapped" by being in Lane 8 in the 100m final in Daegu, she still had the worst start/reaction time in the final. Due to her great top end speed, she was able to come back and grab a silver medal. She knows the start is the weakest part of her 100m race and thus, running indoor 60m does help in that area.

The only way VC has a chance of winning the 100m in London is for her having starts/races like these. Even then, if Fraser gets back to her 2008/2009, she will beat both VC and Jeter.

The Shanghai race is probably the one which most people refer to as evidence of her rolling start. Her start in Pre in 2010 wasn't as good but when combined with her drive phase and the rest of her race, it's one of her better ones against such strong competition.

Her starts in Istanbul were better, if she can get the consistency, she's as alewys in with a medal chance.
