Donatos 16,99m first round with a crazy break down at the jump support. he will go for 17,50m+ if he hits his phases.

Ukhov on first.
Silnov, Chondrokoukis, Zhang, and Baniotis on second.
Williams, Grabarz and Barry on third.

Welp, womens 4x4 up next. I'll be interested to see how Richards-Ross and Hastings are packaged. Assuming Cole and Hayes round out the US team.

Claye just drew a gasp from the crowd on his last jump, but it was a foul. In my position, it was hard to see how far it might have been. (My position is so high but in the middle of the arena that I had not idea Reese had jumped so far.)

Taylor 17.02 on his third, after a foul.

I must correct myself, that 17,28 was even that disbalanced in the jump phase he could even go for 17,70m.

The world is upside down. Chondrokoukis clears 2.33 on his first. Has two misses on the countback.

Round 1 is over. They'll have to beat the Greek at 2.35.

Let's see how many pass now.

Not a smart race from SRR. Why she decided to settle in off the handoff instead of putting the hammer down I have no idea. Just too much to make up in the final 200

The USA's 3rd leg didn't put them in a good position that is was their weakest leg...SRR was in a terrible position going into the achor...but SRR did great on the anchor leg w/all things considering...

Round 3 starting at 2.33. Two over--Chondrokoukis on first, Silnov on 2nd.

In women's 4x4, Richards-Ross got the stick in fourth. Waited until the last back stretch to make move. Passed two of three, then waited until the final straight to get Shakes-Drayton. Could not do it. Nothing wrong with that strategy. Indoor passing lanes are short. Can't pass three trucks in one try. Need to do it piecemeal. Just didn't work out.

An exciting relay finish, regardless of where your sentiments are.

I couldn't disagree more. She got the baton half a step behind GB in 2nd, then instead of going hard she settled in, and fell back into 4th on the backstretch. By the bell it was really too late, even for her.

In HJ, everyone out except Chondrokoukis, Silnov and Baniotis (who passed his last jump at 2.33).

I just thought it was a very naive and slightly over confident leg from Sanya. The way she ran Shakes-Drayton down she obviously could have won the race for the US, but some poor decisions during the race left her too much, and Shakes-Drayton is such a fighter.

Ohuruogu's run looked very good but wasn't amazingly fast, but great she got her teeth stuck into a really leg for once.

Farah promoted to bronze.

Revised result just handed me. In men's 3K, Soi was disqualified for obstructing Farah, who now gets the bronze (7:41.79).

On Friday it was the starting speakers. Now it is the gun which is not functioning properly. Everyone was rolling out of the blocks and the started called them up. A couple of test shots, and here we go again in the women's 60.

Solid start from Madison, but just lacked the late race speed that has served her so well all season. Still, a medal not a bad outcome for a sub-par race. Congrats to VCB - terrific mid-race pickup and carried on the victory. Surprised to see she actually had the 2nd fastest react in the field. My lying eyes I guess

reaction time and getting out of the blocks well don't necessarily go hand in hand.

it looked good for 40 meters for madison, but faded compared to vcb in the end. she did not look as sharp as 2 weeks ago.

Reaction time and getting out of the blocks worked well for Merritt. Beat Liu by 0.03 on rxn time and won by 0.05

Merritt 7.44
Liu 7.49

Interesting paper trail on the Soi DQ. Revised result with DQ issued at 16:44. Written explanation for jury decision printed at 16:48. Revision of revised result (with Soi holding bronze) issued at 17:05. No explanation of the counterprotest received until now.

Cannot recall if there has been a 3K award ceremony yet. They're coming so frequently now, it tests the memory.
