Strongest Women Sprinters?

Postby YoungnovaDM » Fri Feb 03, 2012 6:49 am

When I train always wonder what type of weight some of the top women are working with in the weight room.

I know where I went to school the sprinters were pound for pound the strongest athletes among the women maybe next to the gymnasts.

I wonder how well they are doing at the top-level?

Granted the weight room isn't everything when it comes to on trac performance. But its still an interesting question Ive always wondered

If one of T&F's sprinters were to look like this I couldn't even begin to imagine the things that would be said about her.

pretty impressive barber is a pretty little girl probably 105-115 pounds and she cleaned 165 pounds.

on an unrelated note, i wish they could have had better music, the profanity and racial term being constantly used, i personally did not like.

I think you're way off on Barber's weight. It's about 20lbs heavier than you suggest...125-135. Also, a 165lb clean for a woman sprinter is nothing, what's impressive is Barber's 225lb bench press! A lot of the women who trained with Graham had some pretty impressive numbers from the weights room. Jackie Edwards is another with some eye-popping numbers! She will literally stop an entire gym (not implying that she trained with Graham; to my knowledge they're not connected at all).

Not great technique as they got heavier. I hope there aren't any back injuries in their future.
