Webb has been way too erratic. Does anyone really want to see him as one of the three US competitors in London? No consistency from him in years and I wouldn't trust him to put it all together both in June and August. I trust Lagat (though it's doubtful he'll run the 1500), Centro and a healthy Wheating. I'm hoping Manzano and Lomong will achieve some consistency and that Russell Brown will continue to improve.

These mediocre 800 efforts have me wondering... How much did he train leading up to now? Is he trying to race himself into shape? How much value is there in racing indoors when maybe what he needs is to be putting in miles to build strength for later in the summer? All questions of course since I don't know his situation/fitness/goals, etc.

As usual we know nothing about Webb's condition from this race.

He tripped in the last ~50m in his last race that would have been 1:53, so this is close to two seconds faster.
