Arizona liberals want to split state

They hope to become the 51 state. I have a better idea............they should become a new Mexican state instead. Call it Liberalisimo. Pelosi could become the their first governor.

Rye, there are more 'deep end' right-wingers in Arizona than liberals, and they have been aggressive in forcing things through the legislature that do not always pass constitutional muster. There are also significant areas that fund education at a very low level because they are retirees and have no kids that are affected, so why should they support education -- they will be dead when the cost of poor education hits the state.

Of course, in general splitting a state is not going to happen; Texas has the one 'easy' route but it seems unlikely that they would split into up to five states (which one would get the Alamo?).

Exactly. Ain't it amazing that cities with a large public university tend to lean liberal? Those goddamn intellectual elites and their deplorable concepts. Geez!

Why is it that liberals get to hog all the high paying jobs with all summer off? Or are you referring to the hopelessly naive students?

And even if thy did secede, the second law of thermodynamics would ensure they would be back to square one in a few years.

I used to work 2 blocks from the Alamo. Mexico already has it.
