I don't think you have to be a cycling fan to appreciate these. Is the Tour de France not the most picturesque sporting event in the world?

Not sure. Right now I'm watching Maria Sharapova play her first round match at the US Open, which is also a very picturesque sporting event.

I heard the narrators comment about one rider being thrown into a barbed wire fence. That pic is really cringeful. :shock:

I don't think he got hit by the car. He hit another bike and then got catapulted into the barbed wire fence.

Great pics, jazz.. I know you are a photographer..how the heck did someone get the photo of Liu sitting up after the fall, framed by the hurdles without intruding into the lane during the race?
