I just got a new computer and found that I didn't have to download the Google toolbar into my header. It was included in the set-up options, so I just clicked yes, and there it was.
Anyone else read about cuil.com? It's supposed to be the New Big Thing in search engines, with triple the 'search power' (whatever the heck that means) of google.

Did a search for my name, which I share with a 70s porn star, and came up with zero hits. Google gave me 172,000 hits. FAIL.

You mean you don't use the G-toolbar, which not only lets you google directly from the internet page you're on, but allows you to highlight selected words, find them in an article, or create a search by highlighting text and right-clicking the mouse?!

GH uses a MAC. The operating system and safari has all that stuff as default.

so I just marched around in my Service Dress Blues all day! Most of the kids just wondered why I was 'dressed funny'.

Braggart!!
Actually, I envy you that you can still get into uniform. My "pinks and greens" seem to have shrunk in fifty years, especially the pinks, but my hat fits just fine.
I just switched to the new Google browser called 'Chrome'. Seems better (fewer crashes, user-friendliness, compatibility with other programs) than my current choice, Firefox, which I thought much better than my old IE.

Not the only one of course.
That is correct! The day is usually celebrated for Abe Lincoln, not Darwin. I wonder why this weekend is "Presidents' Day" weekend instead of Lincoln's weekend? That holiday usually came a week after Lincoln's birthday. Besides, I was born 170 years after the two gentlemen.

Who did the poll? There's an organization whose goal l is to have a memorial to Reagan in every county in the US. He's the Second Coming to them.

Too funny.
I have the good fortune to work at a place that still has Lincoln's B-Day as a holiday (along with President's day on Monday instead of Washington's B-Day on the 22nd - go figure!).
So happy birthday Abe and Charles! (Both of whom were born about three weeks after one Edgar Allen Poe back in 1809.)

reagan's escalating arms race broke the soviet bank in trying to keep up & destroyed communism & selfishly, removed the soviet threat to western europe
if someone called him the greatest ever, as a european, i woudn't disagree
